Buhay na Tubig Elementary School was established on a 5000 sq. meter lot on October 4, 1957. It was then a primary school with two-room building with only two teachers undergoing combination classes of 70 pupils. It was a satellite school of Tanzang Luma Elementary School under the administration of Mrs. Julia Malinis followed by Mr. Avelino Onesa, Mrs. Ester Sarocca and Mrs. Lilia R. Gumapas who initiated the plan of making Buhay na Tubig a complete elementary school.
On June 1993, it became a complete elementary school but it was still a satellite school of Tanzang Luma under the management of Mrs. Leila R. Topacio who was then the principal of Tanzang Luma Elementary School. After almost a year of being a complete elementary school, it became a lone school with Mrs. Dorcas A. Darvin as its school head. Every year the school population increased due to the remarkable improvement and progress of the community eg. concrete road constructed, arising of many subdivisions and commercial establishments. The administration of Mrs. Dorcas A. Darvin lasted for more than 2 years. She was followed by Mrs. Leticia S. Lamano then by Mrs. Nenita N. Remorca. When Mrs. Remorca was promoted to Bacoor, Mrs. Diana Topacio took her place who headed the school for only 7 months. She was followed by Mr. Leopoldo Feraer. His administration lasted for only 2 years when he was transferred to Bayan Luma I Elementary School. On July 2005, Mrs. Leila R. Topacio came back as its school head and in year 2007, Buhay na Tubig got its principal II item. Remarkable improvement and development in the schools physical plant and facilities was noted, increases in enrollment was evident every year, thus number of teachers also increased. September 12, 2010 when another new Principal II was designates School Head of Buhay na Tubig in the person of Mrs. Leticia Alava Rogacion. From September 12 ti’ll November 30, 2013 she did a lot of improvements to Buhay na Tubig Elementary School and remarkable Achievement within short period of time our school won Best Implementor of Brigada Eskwela in the Division Level and was the official entry in the Regional search of Best Implementor of Brigada Eskwela. Aside from physical improvement we have improved in Academic, Staff Development and other. On December 2013, Dr. Mary Ann M. Batino was assigned to Buhay na Tubig Elementary School by Dr. Lualhati O. Cadavedo as temporary Principal. In a span of 7 months, she made a great improvement in both facilities and school management system. Under her leadership, she improved 2 existing water pumps which malfunctioned after typhoon Glenda by adding more PVC pipes underground to reach the water level below. She also improved the electrical wirings in different classrooms, toilet facilities of several rooms were improved and construction of 2 detached public toilet with 3 comfort rooms each with washing area. She worked out an additional fund for MOOE for SY 2014-2015 both BNTES and BNT-Maharlika Annex. Additional sound system were purchased. Because of her efforts , Buhay na Tubig Elementary School won 2nd Place in the Division Search for Brigada Eskwela Best School Implementor in the Big School Category. Several projects were initiated under her guidance. The teacher’s cooperative is now established, she laid down the plans for signature campaign for the school year. Amount generated from the project will be used to purchase projectors for each room to improve pupils learning. On August 1, 2014, Mrs. Divina A. Narvaez replaced Dr. Mary Ann M. Batino as Principal of Buhay na Tubig Elementary School because the latter was promoted as EPS of Private Schools. She prioritize many improvements in facilities of the school. Some of her projects were expansion of kitchen office, repair of damaged building, improvement in electrical wirings and repair of comfort rooms. She also supported many school activities that aim to improve the education system in the school like the “Search for King and Queen BNTES 2014” where the proceeds were used to buy projectors for classrooms. The school was also chosen as recipient of Baryanihan project of Savemore and Project Aral of National Bookstore. She also encourage pupils and teachers to join various contests and won in some events like Search for Mr. and Ms. ICPTAF, Cluster Meet, City Meet and STCAA 2015. At present, the school has three one-storey, six two-storey and three-storey buildings; 2311 pupils and 74 teachers working hand in hand with stakeholders to meet the school’s mission and vision. |
